BIM.Technologies expands into Edinburgh TechCube

BIM.Technologies, a division of Space Group and one of the UK’s leading BIM consultancies, crossed the border into Scotland this week, opening a new office in one of Edinburgh’s most exciting tech hotspots.

We’re the latest tenants of the bustling TechCube, a shared office facility where technology and the arts come together. Now within touching distance of our Scottish clients, we’re able to coordinate with them to an even greater degree than before.

While this is BIM.Tech’s first office in Scotland, we’ve always been a company with nationwide reach, with offices in Manchester, Leeds, London, Hull, and Space Group’s ancestral home of Newcastle. Since its inception, BIM.Technologies has been hired to coordinate the BIM strategies for projects led by industry giants such as Sir Robert McAlpine and Grafton Architects.

Space Group’s CEO Rob Charlton states that BIM.Technologies will be heavily involved in the proliferation of BIM via this new Scottish hub. “We also plan to bring BIM Show Live to Edinburgh and Scotland in the summer to spread the word,” he said.

“It’s great to have a base in such a fantastic city – BIM is in its early stages in Scotland but we’ve seen a growth of interest.”

And work has already started, with BIM.Technologies providing consultation to regular client Millers Construction, currently doing work on Inverness Royal Academy.
