Part of the Sunderland BSF initiative, our work with Castle View Academy was remodelling the school to provide a unified educational environment for the wider community of Sunderland. In order to do this, the _space group team constructed a new academy in and around the existing school. This build ensured that existing community sports facilities were incorporated and the academy’s specialism, business and enterprise, was contained within an elliptical copper dome at the heart of the new facilities.
